Apple Dumpling

  • Apple
  • Butter
  • Cinnamon
  • Sugar
  • Pastry

Take a leavened pastry and roll thin and set aside. Take an apple, cored and halved in smaller pieces, and cover in a mix of sugar and cinnamon. Add butter along hole of core or spread it on the apple. Wrap in pastry. Dust pastry in cinnamon and sugar and brush lightly with water. If desired, baste in a mix of water, cinnamon, butter and brown sugar. Bake at around 400F for about 45 minutes, let rest and serve warm.
